Norton AntiVirus 7.0 for Macintosh: Installing from the UIS Website

Downloading and Installing NAV 7.0

1.     When you click on the download the file! link, a file will download to your computer and unzip itself automatically. 2.     Double click on thenorton702.macos8-9.1.dmg file that appears on your desktop. 3.     Double click on the Norton AntiVirus 7.0installation icon that appears on your desktop. 4.     Double click on the Install Norton AntiVirus icon.

A Norton AntiVirus panel will open. Click on the Continuebutton.

This will bring up the NAV license agreement. Read the license, then click on the Accept button. When the Read Me file opens, read the parts that interest you, then click on the Continue button.

8.     The files you need will install themselves on your computer.

9.     You may see a notice telling you that you have a one-year subscription to virus definition updates. Click on the OKbutton.

10.   You'll be asked to set your virus scanning preferences. 11.   Click on Full Protection andScan all known formats(black dots should appear next to these choices). 12.   Then click on the Set Preferences and Continuebutton.

13.   When the installation finishes, click on the Restartbutton.
