Joomla Installation Process

Joomla is the best and the most popular Content Management Solution (CMS) which is a complete web-based application. It allows you to manage the contents on your website, like the HTML coding, pictures or documents. It can be used as a community website, administration and also for content editing and management solution. Let us talk about the step wise process to install joomla on your system.
1. Firstly, you must start the Apache and MySQL services and then click on the Start button. After each process, you need to click the ‘Next’ button.
2. Extract the downloaded joomla files on the htdocs folders of the XAMPP. If the XAMPP is installed on your computer, then it will be saved automatically to the folder. You can also rename the folder according to your wish.
3. Once done, you should browse the joomla URL such as http://localhost/yourjoomla. You can see the installed joomla on the browser of the website.
4. There are seven steps in the installation wizard for Joomla, which should be followed carefully. Firstly, you have to choose the language and secondly, you should check the minimum system requirements and ensure that you are eligible for it.
5. Once it is done, do not forget to read the license agreement. If you agree to it, click on the Next button.
6. Now, you must create a MySQL account, which is used by Joomla to save data to your MySQL database. After this, you have to enter all the details of your account on the required data fields.

7. Here, you don’t have to enable the File Transfer Protocol settings or configuration. It is not a requirement for the windows operating system. You must set up the FTP only if you are using a secured web host service, so that you can easily access the root directories.
8. Once it is done, you should configure the main settings and then enter the required or preferred website name and email id, along with a password.
9. Next, you will get a message from the installer saying that all installation directories have to be removed. For this, you should delete the sub-directories from the joomla directory.
10. Finally, you are done with joomla installation. You can now start using your new joomla website.
