Remove Data Protection anti-spyware

Data Protection is a rogue anti-spyware from the same family as Digital Protection malware. This fake program is promoted and distributed through the use Trojans and other malware. Once installed and running, Data Protection will attempt to uninstall legitimate anti-spyware and antivirus programs. Some of the security applications that it attempts to uninstall are NOD32, Norton Internet Security, Avira AntiVir, AVG8, and avast!. Then it will scan your computer for malware and display a variety of infections. However, the scan results are false so you may safely ignore them. Moreover, the rogue program will constantly display fake security alerts stating that your computer is infected with spyware or under attack from a remove computer. If you find that your computer is infected with this virus, please follow the removal instructions below to remove Data Protection from your computer upon detection. You can remove it manually or use an automatic removal tool.
